Cultural Corridor Quest March Break at the Old Stone House

March Break is almost here, and families in Sault Ste. Marie have an exciting opportunity to explore local history, science, art, and creativity all in one adventure. The Cultural Corridor Quest March Break is back for 2026, offering a week full of engaging activities for children and families across six unique cultural locations in the city.

One of the highlights of the program takes place at the historic Old Stone House at Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site. From Tuesday, March 17 to Saturday, March 21, visitors can enjoy daily activities and hands-on experiences designed especially for kids.

A Week of Fun and Discovery

Each day features a special themed activity running 10 AM to 2 PM, along with open-time activities from 10 AM to 4 PM throughout the week. Children can enjoy crafts, games, scavenger hunts, and interactive learning experiences that make history and culture come alive.

Activity Schedule at the Old Stone House

  • Tuesday, March 17 – Leprechauns and Rainbows (10 AM – 2 PM)
    Celebrate the spirit of St. Patrick’s season with colorful crafts and playful activities.

  • Wednesday, March 18 – Junior Archaeology (10 AM – 2 PM)
    Young explorers can discover what it’s like to be an archaeologist and uncover the past.

  • Thursday, March 19 – Historic Printing (10 AM – 2 PM)
    Learn how printing worked in earlier centuries and try creating your own printed masterpiece.

  • Friday, March 20 – Thinking Rock Community Arts 

  • 10 AM – 12 PM and 2 PM – 4 PM
    Get creative with community arts activities that inspire imagination.


  • Saturday, March 21 – Victorian Illusions (10 AM – 2 PM)


    Step back in time and explore fascinating visual illusions from the Victorian era.
