Visit Time

Consider 2-hours for visiting the site and start in the Heritage Discovery Centre, where interactive exhibits introduce you to "Stories Steeped in Stone", the War of 1812, and Sault Ste. Marie's early settlers.

Admission

Admission fees support heritage preservation and educational programming. Special rates available for groups, students, and seniors.

Location & Parking

Located in Downtown at 800 Bay St., Sault Ste. Marie, ON Canada P6A 3G4. Available regular & accessible parking. Bus bay parking is available for tour groups and school visits. Additional metered parking is available on Queen Street and 2-hour free parking in the Heritage Lot.

Our site has accessible washrooms available, main floors of all buildings are wheelchair accessible, audio devices are available for self-guided tours. Special Guided Tours: Book a special guided tour in advance with knowledgeable interpreters to bring history to life with engaging stories and period demonstrations.

Self-Guided Exploration: Explore at your own pace using an audio wand device in English or with the Quest of 1812 audio tour in English and French and printed materials throughout the buildings and grounds.
